England vs Sri Lanka, 2nd Test, Day 3

Dimuth Karunaratne resisted for a while and scored 38 runs for the first wicker with Kaushal Silva.

Sri Lanka were able to add just 10 runs to their overnight score and folded for 101 in reply to England's 498 for 9 declared.

Kaushal Silva kept the England bowlers at bay with a patient 60 and resisted the attack with Angelo Mathews.

Angelo Mathews fought hard with a 105-ball 80.

Dinesh Chandimal (54 not out) kept Sri Lanka afloat and added 87 runs with Milinda Siriwardana to help the team end Day 3 on 309 for 5.
